Associated Press source Jamil Hussein reports that he has a close up photograph of former Iranian President Khatami’s autograph book.

Former Iranian President Khatami of course is the sort of “world leader” that John Kerry feels comfortable with, I guess. “Nuanced.” Especially that nuanced part about executing persons because they are homosexual.
“Homosexuality is a crime in Islam and crimes are punishable,” Khatami said. “And the fact that a crime could be punished by execution is debatable.”
Hot Air has a good discussion:
Harvard sits silent while Khatami defends executing gays
Welcome to all of my Iranian visitors. Hopefully, I got the Farsi translation correct!

Interesting. In this photo at Michelle Malkin* they are both seated and appear to be the same height. Is Khatami sitting on a handfull of pillows or did Lurch set up that photo-op above so that he would appear more impressive?

Thanks! I was completely clueless to what it said. Like John Kerry, except humble.
