Quite a contrast
Sen. Joe Biden (D?) of Delaware, rumored to be the actual running mate of Sen. Barack Obama, noted the lack of foreign policy experience of his running mate and expressed his opinion that other nations may attempt to generate a foreign policy crisis to test Obama’s ability.
The actual quote:
“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. source/read more
I can’t say that I disagree with what Sen. Biden is saying, it’s just damn humorous that he calls attention to his running mates inadequacies. Would anyone care to contrast Joe’s prediction to the international communities reaction to the election of President Ronald Reagan? The Islamic Republic of Iran, which held our embassy workers hostage for 444 days, made sure that they were released moments before Reagan was sworn in.
To continue with the Biden quote:
“And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
It sounds suspiciously likely that Sen. Biden has begun to receive the National Security briefings that are routinely given to both parties to ensure they are ‘up to speed’ when they enter office in January. The disturbing section of the quote is relating to the unpopularity of a decision which an Obama/Biden team would have to make. Is Biden preparing his defeatist, surrender-happy base for more conflict?
Is Joe Biden the ‘October Surprise’ we’ve become accustomed to in previous elections?

After you have bought into his pretensions of adequacy, and driven the car off of the lot, you will find that his lies and deceptions will be the cause of your crashing head first into reality, with no warranty to protect you.
